I'll guide you step by step to design, plan and install a bathroom that meets your expectations. Most new bathrooms don’t fit one particular style of course. And when all's said and done, this is your bathroom, so it's about designing the bathroom of your dreams...not mine. You might for example choose a stylish shower, with a screen over an acrylic bath; this is often ideal for a small bathroom. Or perhaps you're considering removing the bath completely and fitting a walk-in shower cubicle with fully tiled walls and floor. You might want extra storage space in the bathroom too. So ceramic basin tops with built-in vanity units and cupboards are always very popular. Whatever your dream bathroom, we will design it for you.
Fitted bathrooms usually have a stylish bath, fitted cupboards (often concealing the toilet cistern), a semi-recessed basin or even a counter-top basin. Worktops are a choice of laminate, granite or a man-made solid surface. Taps are high-end designer mono-bloc ceramic disc, quarter turn. Tiling choices include quality marble, travertine, granite, porcelain or decorative stone mosaic. Floors may be heated and controlled by an external thermostat.
Modern designer bathroom suites tend to have more interior design flair. They often incorporate a wall-hung basin. Italian style monobloc taps can be added, with either pop-up or push-up waste controls. Toilets are usually with a slim design including a duel flush with soft closing seats. Baths can be styled to fit into a corner or be offset, tapered, free-standing or even rounded. And nearly all can be fitted with whirlpool systems. Modern showers, especially when linked to combi boilers, are classed as high pressure and can offer a multitude of water spray patterns. The walls in modern bathrooms tend to be fully tiled. What luxury!
A traditional bathroom generally consists of a bath (sometimes even a cast iron bath ... see below), a basin and a flush toilet. The bath may be made of acrylic, steel or cast iron with the sanitary ware being glazed pottery. Taps are normally separate, of a pillar style and chromed. In the traditional bathroom waste outlets are normally plug-chains and the bathroom is half-tiled in slandered six-inch square tiles.
Our fabulous wetrooms allow you to shower without worrying about where the water goes! All the water is removed via a centre-floor drain, so you don't have to be careful about splashes. These can also include handrails and non-slip flooring material for ease-of-use by the disabled if required. And beautifully finished too!
Since we don't charge VAT, our bathrooms are instantly 20% less expensive than many of our competitors!

Richard Bathrooms, Milnrow, Rochdale
This is the second bathroom installation Richard has done for me, and again the quality of craftsmanship is outstanding!
Mr Smith, Rochdale
Not just a plumber; Richard took on the whole project of fitting tiles and false ceiling, bricking out and plastering.
Once again, the attention to detail with a clean and tidy approach would leave me in no doubt but to call on Richard Bathrooms in the future.
Mrs Winterbottom Manchester
Richard has done a good professional job refurbishing our bathroom from floor to ceiling. He was very reliable and trustworthy; he was also a very clean worker and removed all rubbish.
I would recommend Richard Bathrooms to any of our friends. Thank you once again.
Mr & Mrs Edwards, Salford
When we decided to have our bathroom re-modelled we had several prices and plans from different plumbers / fitters. At the very first meeting Richard totally outshone the rest. We decided we would have Richard to fit our bathroom after two visits. Richard did numerous drawings and plans and explained the pros and cons of each one, He was very informative and we gained confidence and trust in him. I thought having our new bathroom would be stressful, but everything ran smoothly. Every day Richard began work at the time specified. He was a very tidy worker and at the end of each day his tools were stored out of the way. The results at the end were spectacular. We got exactly what we wanted – a stunning and modern bathroom. Having our bathroom remodelled has been a pleasant experience and I would and will recommend Richard to everyone.
Norm and Barbara, Rochdale
With both of us at work we were a bit apprehensive at having our bathroom redesigned, because of the mess upheaval and inconvenience that would be caused. Richard Bathrooms actually made it pain free and easy whilst the work was being carried out. The planning was precise and fully discussed before any work was started. The finished work was well worth it, we now have a beautiful bathroom. We would recommend Richard Bathrooms to any person considering having work done to their bathroom.
